Tribal Blankets

Antique handstitched blankets from Rajasthan, India. These wonderful pieces are embroidered using colourful cotton thread onto heavy duty quality cotton. They are very large, 001,002 and 003 each being suitable as a spread for a double bed. Alternatively they may be displayed as wall hangings.
They are completed with strong colourful borders. Items 005 and 006 are very unusual, as they were originally made to adorn Hindu Brahmin bulls.
They have near identical blankets for either flank of the animal and a unique triangular insert which sits over the creatures hump on it's neck. Truly remarkable pieces of work.
